It’s official: Starbucks will allow non-paying guests to use its U.S. cafes and restrooms. The new policy, which applies to 8,000 stores, follows the arrest of two black men at a Philadelphia branch in April who had asked to use the restroom before they’d made a purchase. Starbucks cafes will close across the country next week for an afternoon of anti-bias training.
